Valley City (VCPD) – On October 9, 2025, the Valley City Police Department responded to multiple reports of a reckless driver in the 100 block of Main Street East. Witnesses reported that the suspect vehicle had struck both an electrical pole and a dumpster in the alleyway.

Based on witness information, officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of Petro Serve USA. The driver, identified as Cody Lee Williams (39), refused officers’ commands to exit the vehicle. Officers removed Williams from the vehicle, at which point he resisted arrest.

Williams was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Preventing Arrest. The incident remains under investigation, and additional charges may be pending.
