Valley City (PD) – In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Valley City Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of Central Avenue South around 3:05 a.m.

Officers located the stolen 2017 Nissan Pathfinder traveling eastbound on Main Street East and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to pull over, leading officers on a pursuit that ended when the vehicle left the roadway and became stuck in a ditch in the 1400 block of Main Street East.

Three occupants were detained following the incident—one adult female and two 16-year-old females. The adult, identified as 18-year-old Gabriela Maldonado, was arrested and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

The two juveniles were identified as reported runaways and were referred for charges including Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, and Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle.
