Valley City – Valley City residents are advised of upcoming schedule changes as City Hall and Public Works Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27 and Friday, November 28. The closures are part of the city’s annual observance of the holiday, giving staff time to celebrate with family and friends.

The Transfer Station will also be closed on Thursday, November 27. Residents who typically rely on Thursday services should plan ahead, as no transfers or drop-offs will be accepted that day.

Garbage collection for Thursday’s route will be moved to Friday, November 28. City officials remind residents to have their garbage set out by 7 am to ensure timely pickup, as crews will be working on an adjusted schedule to accommodate the holiday.
