FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota State football coach Craig Bohl says the Bison players charged in a petition fraud case could face disciplinary measures, but not suspensions.
Ten players on the roster are among 15 people accused of faking petition signatures in a scandal that stopped two citizen initiatives from making the November ballot.
Bohl says the players will go through a standard university
disciplinary procedure and could face additional penalties within
the football program. They will continue to play.
Starters Marcus Williams, Sam Ojuri, Brendin Pierre and Josh
Colville and key backups Aireal Boyd and Bryan Shepherd are among
the players charged.
Bohl considers the suspension question “resolved.”
The Bison, a Football Championship Subdivision team, defeated
Colorado State, a Football Bowl Subdivision club, on Saturday.
