The passenger boarding numbers show a 20% increase over last year, and do not include the additional air travel by general and business aircraft.

Forecasters are projecting growth at record rates to continue, and the Aeronautics Commission is working with state, federal, and local partners to address the large increases in air traffic across the region.
In August this year, Jametown boardings were at 263.
That’s compared to 384 in August of 2011, a decrease of over 31 percent.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota property tax activists are
fighting a judge’s ruling that they have to pay the legal fees of
some county officials who were critical of their campaign.
The dispute goes back to last June’s failed ballot measure to
abolish property taxes.
During the campaign, the measure’s backers sued several county
and state officials. They claimed the officials were illegally
campaigning against the measure.
South Central District Judge Bruce Romanick threw out the
lawsuit. He followed up by ordering property tax critics to pay
some of the officials’ legal fees.
The measure’s supporters say Romanick’s ruling has some factual
errors. They’re asking him to reconsider.
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says the ruling may deter
questionable lawsuits about public policy debates in the future.

T25-COLLEGE FOOTBALL POLL
NEW YORK (AP) – Alabama and LSU are back atop The Associated
Press college football poll, holding down Nos. 1 and 2 the way they
did most of last season.

LSU got the other two.
The Southeastern Conference rivals were ranked first and second
for eight weeks during last season before eventually meeting in the
BCS title game. The difference last year was LSU was first and
Alabama second – until the Tide won the national championship game.
LSU moved up to No. 2 this week after Southern California’s
first loss of the season. USC slipped 11 spots to 13th after losing
21-14 at Stanford.
Stanford jumped from 21st to ninth.
