Jenna Miller is charged with various counts of burglary, theft and possession of a controlled substance.
Her attorney, Mark Blumer, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.
Barnes County Sheriff, Randy McClaflin says several homes in the county were entered in July, August and September.
State’s Attorney Lee Grossman says deputies allegedly found stolen prescription drugs in Miller’s vehicle during a traffic stop last Friday.
Miller is due back in court on Nov. 20 and could possibly enter pleas to the charges against her.

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) October 24, 2012 — While military deployments and hospital stays may keep many of our nation’s heroes away from their families this holiday season, the American Red Cross is collecting and distributing cards that send words of encouragement, gratitude and cheer.
From now until and December 7, 2012, Americans can give something that means something by sending a card of thanks and support to members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
Buffalo Valley Red Cross Chapter, Manager, Beth Dewald says, “It just takes a moment to sign a card to share your appreciation for the sacrifices members of the military community make. You say thanks, we’ll do the rest.”
This is the second year the Buffalo Valley Chapter has participated in this program.
Last year in partnership with local programs such as the Art Center After School program and RSVP+, over 400 cards were sent to Pitney Bowes for distribution around the world.
The chapter is also recruiting volunteers to help distribute cards to military members and veterans in the community around the holidays.
To ensure that cards are delivered in time for the holidays, they must be postmarked no later than December 7.
The Red Cross is inviting the public to send messages of thanks and holiday cheer until December 7 by mailing them to:
Holiday Mail for Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456
Pitney Bowes Inc. receives cards at the special Holiday Mail post office box, and screens them for hazardous materials, at no charge, and contributes thousands of volunteer hours at sites around the country.
Red Cross volunteers across the United States and on military installations overseas then sort and deliver the cards throughout the holiday season.
The Red Cross and Pitney Bowes have received and distributed more than 4.7 million cards for members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and their families since the program began in 2006.
Individuals are asked to refrain from sending “care packages,” monetary donations, or using glitter or any other kinds of inserts with the cards.
More information and card requirements are at redcross.org/holidaymail..
The public can connect with fellow card senders through Facebook at facebook.com/redcross and Twitter.com/redcross using the hashtag #holidaymail.
BUCYRUS, N.D. (AP) – The wildfire that devastated the small
southwestern North Dakota town of Bucyrus (byoo-CY’-ruhs) has been
ruled accidental, but the cause likely will never be known.
Adams County State’s Attorney Aaron Roseland tells KXMB-TV that
there is not enough evidence for investigators to determine the
cause of the fire Oct. 17 and 18 that swept through the town,
forcing the evacuation of its 27 residents and burning four homes
to the ground.
Deputy State Fire Marshal Don Temple tells The Bismarck Tribune
that the blaze started in a stubble field about 40 feet from where
an abandoned farmstead building had been burned and buried last
March. He says there is no reason to think there is any connection.
Roseland says there is nothing to indicate the wildfire was
deliberately set.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has
designated Stark County in southwest North Dakota as a primary
natural disaster area due to drought.
That means farmers and ranchers in that county and the
contiguous counties of Grant, Mercer and Morton now qualify for
natural disaster assistance from the federal government.
Twenty-two other North Dakota counties were designated primary
disaster areas earlier. They include Barnes, Benson, Billings,
Bowman, Cass, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Golden Valley, Grand Forks,
Griggs, Logan, Lamoure, McIntosh, Nelson, Ramsey, Ransom, Slope,
Stark, Steele, Stutsman, and Traill.
With contiguous counties included, producers in 41 of North
Dakota’s 53 counties are eligible for aid.
CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) – Repair crews in Casselton are trying to
determine why emergency sirens inexplicably went off Tuesday night.
Public works crews were able to silence the alarm by manually
disabling the siren. City Auditor Sheila Klevhard says she expects
the work to be finished today.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Officials and businesses in Sioux Falls
are bracing for hundreds – if not thousands – of people to descend
on South Dakota’s largest city to honor the life of former U.S.
Senator and one-time presidential candidate George McGovern.
McGovern, who lost a 1972 presidential bid to Richard Nixon,
died Sunday at a Sioux Falls hospice. He was 90.
A prayer service will be held today at First United
Methodist Church. Funeral services are Friday afternoon at the
Washington Pavilion of Arts and Sciences.
KYLE, S.D. (AP) – The first of four services honoring former
American Indian Movement activist Russell Means has been held on
the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
About 500 people gathered yesterday as Means’ ashes arrived by horseback. Means died Monday at his home on the South Dakota reservation after battling cancer.

WORLD SERIES
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Pablo Sandoval became just the fourth
player to homer three times in a World Series game as the San
Francisco Giants ripped the Detroit Tigers 8-3 in the opener of the
Fall Classic.
He put the Giants ahead with solo shot in the first,
added a two-run blast in the third and crushed another solo homer
in the fifth.
Marco Scutaro (SKOO’-tah-roh) went 2-for-4 with two
RBIs and two runs scored to support Barry Zito, who allowed a run
and six hits in 5 2/3 innings for the win.
The series continues tonight in San Francisco, where
Madison Bumgarner will start for the Giants against Doug Fister.
UNDATED (AP) – Minnesota pitcher Matt Capps and Seattle catcher
Miguel Olivo (oh-LEE’-voh) will become free agents next month after
their teams declined to pick up their contract options.
Capps had 45 saves over 2 1/2 seasons in Minnesota but pitched only four innings after June 15 this year due to shoulder trouble.
Olivo hit only .222 in 87 games this season, and his .239 on-base percentage was the worst in the majors among all players who appeared in at least
85 games.
NFL…
UNDATED (AP) – The NFL Players Association will file a motion in
federal court in New Orleans trying to get former NFL Commissioner
Paul Tagliabue (TAG’-lee-uh-boo) out of a position to hear the
appeals of the four players suspended in the Saints bounties case.
The players’ union wants Tagliabue to recuse himself because of a
conflict of interest.
The players and their union say Tagliabue
should be disqualified because of his employment by a law firm
which has handled bounty-related matters for the league and
represented Goodell in Jonathan Vilma’s defamation lawsuit against
him.
NHL …
NEW YORK (AP) – Unable to secure a deal that would keep the New
York Islanders in their longtime home, team owner Charles Wang
(wahng) is taking his NHL franchise to Brooklyn.
The Islanders will move to the recently completed Barclays Center when their lease runs out on the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum following the
2014-2015 season.
NBA-ALL STAR BALLOT
NEW YORK (AP) – Small ball has made its mark on the NBA All-Star
ballot.
The league has announced that it is dropping the center spot
from the ballot in a nod to the way the sport has changed in recent
years.
Fans will vote for three frontcourt players and two guards,
instead of two guards, two forwards and a center.
The ballot comes out Nov. 13.
GOLF-PGA GRAND SLAM OF GOLF
SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda (AP) – Padraig (PAH’-drig) Harrington won
the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, closing with a 4-under 67 for a
one-stroke victory over U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson, who closed
with a bogey-free 67.
Keegan Bradley had a 67 and Masters champion Bubba Watson carded
a 71 to finish tied for third, six shots off the pace. Bradley was
filling in for PGA champion Rory McIlroy in the tournament that is
set up as a test between all four of the year’s Grand Slam winners.
TENNIS-WTA CHAMPIONSHIPS
ISTANBUL (AP) – Serena Williams overcame an erratic serve to
beat Li Na (lee na) 7-6), 6-3 for her second win in as many
round-robin matches at the WTA Championships.
Williams had six double-faults and won only 51 percent of points
on her first serve.
She has won 28 of her past 29 matches and captured Wimbledon,
U.S. Open and Olympic titles this year. But the highest ranking she
can finish at the end of the year is No. 2 because of injuries and
missed tournaments.
Earlier on Wednesday in Istanbul, defending champion Petra
Kvitova (kuh-VIHT’-oh-vuh) withdrew from the season-ending
tournament due to illness. She’s being replaced by first-alternate
Samantha Stosur.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Longtime Republican and former Secretary of
State Colin Powell is sticking with the presidential choice he made

WASHINGTON (AP) – With less than two weeks to go until Election
Day, President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney are
campaigning hard in critical battleground states.
A new Associated Press-GfK poll suggests the race is a dead heat. The survey says Romney has erased Obama’s 16-point advantage among women, while
Obama has largely eliminated Romney’s edge among men.
According to the poll, Romney is favored by 47 percent of likely voters and
Obama by 45 percent.
WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama and Bill Clinton will
campaign together Monday, opening the final full week before
Election Day with a three-state battleground blitz.
The two will headline rallies in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. It’s the first
time they’ll campaign together during this election.
The three states are among the biggest electoral prizes up for grabs. Polls
show Obama has an edge in Ohio, but Romney has whittled away
Obama’s earlier leads in Florida and Virginia.
