Jamestown (CSi) The Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office says that 43 year old Lee Charles Ellingson was charged Wednesday with four counts. Ellingson, (Tracy, Minnesota) eluded law enforcement and was taken into custody following an early morning pursuit in SW Jamestown Tuesday.
Ellingson was treated for his injuries at Jamestown Regional medical Center and has been released.

The release from State’s Attorney Fritz Fremgen:
One count of Reckless Endangerment, a Class C Felony. One count of Criminal Mischief a Class C Felony
One count of DUI, a Class C Felony and, Fleeing or attempting to elude, a Class A misdeameanor
Bail has been recommended, and Fremgen anticipates Ellingson’s initial court appearance and bail hearing to be held on Thursday, in Southeast District court.
Fremgen says, considering the nature of the allegations and the defendent’s ties to the community, he plans to request a cash bond sufficient to ensure the defendant’s appearance at all court proceedings.
A preliminary hearing date has not been scheduled.
Ellingson was treated for his injuries at Jamestown Regional medical Center, and then life-flighted to a Fargo hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

Jamestown (CSi) Local law enforcement early Tuesday were involved with a high speed pursuit, that led to a man ramming patrol cars and the shooting of the suspect.
Just after midnight this morning, the Jamestown Police Department was alerted by a convenience store employee of a suspected intoxicated individual leaving the store.
The officer attempted to approach the subject, who then entered his vehicle, and left at a high rate of speed with the officer pursuing.
The subject headed south on Highway 281 with other officers joining in the pursuit. The suspect then rammed two patrol vehicles with his vehicle.
The suspect stopped his vehicle numerous times and allowed officers to approach, and then would flee, eventually stopping in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue Southwest. (area pictured above)

Jamestown Police officers, and a Stutsman County Sheriff’s deputy, discharged their weapons, striking the suspect.
The suspect the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 43 year old male from Tracy, Minnesota was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
He was arrested for Felony DUI, Fleeing or attempting to elude in a motor vehicle, Reckless endangerment and Criminal Mischief.
During the pursuit, witnesses saw the vehicle “spinning donuts” while attempting to elude the police. (area pictured to the right).
Law Enforcement officials that were involved are now on administrative leave and the investigation of the incident has been turned over to the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Jamestown Police officers were assisted by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Area Ambulance Service.
