Jamestown (CSi) No preliminary court appearance has been set yet for 43 year old Lee Charles Ellingson.
The 43 year old Tracy, Minnesota man has been charged by the Stutsman County State’s Attorney, stemming from an early morning vehicle high speed chase that led to im man ramming patrol cars and the shooting of the suspect.
Ellingson was treated for his injuries at Jamestown Regional medical Center and later transported to a Fargo hospital to undergo surgery for his injuries
Ellingson has been charged with:
One count of Reckless Endangerment, a Class C Felony. One count of Criminal Mischief a Class C Felony
One count of DUI, a Class C Felony and, Fleeing or attempting to elude, a Class A misdeameanor

Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Regional Airport boardings are flying high with a new monthly boardings record.
UnitedExpress/SkyWest Airlines had 798 passenger boardings for February, this year, which broke the previous record by one set by Delta Airlines in February 2012.
Jamestown Regional Airport Authority, Chairman Jim Boyd adds, he believes that is the most passenger boardings for the airport since at least 1978.
Through March 18th there have been 489 passenger boardings and a 94 percent on-time rate.
Jamestown Regional Airport Manager Sam Seafelt points out that transporting college sports teams to tournaments, boosted the numbers, as the University of Jamestown men’s and women’s basketball teams flew out of Jamestown for some out-of-town games, as did sports teams from Valley City State University and a team from the University of North Dakota.
Seafeldt added that another reason might be that people who are booked on the morning flight out of Jamestown and are delayed are opting to take the afternoon flight from Jamestown rather than driving to Fargo or Bismarck for a different flight.
The Jamestown Airport Authority approved changing the monthly rental rates for its new T-hangars.
The new rents will be $150 a month for the six uniform size hangars, $200 a month for the medium hangar and $250 a month for the largest new hangar.
Jamestown (CSi) A record number of participants ran or walked in the 2015 Runnin’ O’ The Green in Jamestown on March 14.
On Thursday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, organizer, Larry Knoblich said this year 2,700 registered runners participated, breaking the previous record of 2,300 in 2012 when the temperature was also unseasonably warm, which Knoblich says brings out more participants.
He added that the goal of $30,000 to raise was met, and exceeded, as other donations came from the community along the run route, plus donations from volunteer drivers, and Megan at Wildside Creations in Jamestown gave over and above the dollars collected for t-shirt sales of $800, giving $1,500.
Bar tenders also gave donations from collection jars.
Knoblch added that additional donations are still coming in by mail.
The donations are divided this year with $20,000 going to the Elks Camp Grassick, and $10,000 to be divided among 20-cancer patients.
In 2014 there were 2,100 registered particpants with $12,000 going to Camp Grassick, and $10,000 going to cancer patients.
He pointed out in 2014 the temperature was much colder, which likely held down the number of participants.
Knoblich noted that Jamestown Police officers in uniform along the run route helped in keeping the participants under better control.
Earlier this week Knoblich met in a post-runnin’ meeting with Jamestown Police and Jamestown city officials, along with bar owners to discuss how this year’s run went, and gave suggestions for next year’s run.
He pointed out that in 2016 The Runnin’ O’ The Green will be held on Saturday March 19.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – A monthly survey of bankers suggests a weakening economy lies ahead for rural parts of the Dakotas and other Midwestern states. MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A 45-year-old Minot woman suspected of killing her 3-month-old daughter has been transferred from a hospital to jail, as prosecutors prepare a formal murder charge against her.
The woman was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in McLean County during which questions arose about the welfare of her baby. Police went to the apartment where she lived with her husband and found the girl’s body.
The woman was taken to a hospital for unspecified treatment after her arrest. She was transferred to jail on Thursday. She was scheduled to make her initial court appearance and be formally charged Friday afternoon.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A woman and man are facing numerous criminal charges following a police chase in central North Dakota.
Both of the suspects, 27-year-old Samantha Nygaard and 29-year-old Giovanni Schwarting, had outstanding felony warrants related to prior cases.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a trooper attempted to stop a stolen vehicle displaying fake license plates Thursday morning. A pursuit began when the driver failed to pull over and fled east on Interstate 94 toward Bismarck.
Three of the vehicle’s tires were flattened after Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department deployed tire spikes. Authorities say the driver and passenger exited the vehicle, fled on foot and were arrested after a brief search.
Nygaard was charged with seven counts of various crimes, while Schwarting was charged with two counts.
It wasn’t immediately known if they have attorneys.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – The suspect in a slaying in Minot last fall has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge.
Anthony Campbell entered his plea Thursday.
Campbell has been accused in the slaying of 25-year-old Shannon Brunelle, who was found dead in a garage at an apartment building on Sept. 15. Campbell was arrested in November in Philadelphia on a murder warrant and an unrelated burglary warrant. The murder charge carries a maximum punishment of life in prison without parole.
Campbell’s attorney previously sought to have four judges disqualified from the case because each had had some role, from issuing warrants to presiding over court appearances. The request was denied.
Campbell has also pleaded not guilty to the burglary charge.
No trial date has been scheduled in the case.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A measure that would allow North Dakotans to begin buying booze at restaurants on Sunday morning has failed by a single vote.
The bipartisan measure would allow alcohol sales on Sundays to begin at 11 a.m. instead of noon.
The bill failed in the Senate Thursday by a 23-22 vote. Senate bills require 24 votes to pass.
Two Senators were absent. The bill could be reconsidered Friday if they return.
The bill passed the House last month by a 49-42 margin.
Proponents say North Dakota’s restrictions put cities bordering other states at a disadvantage because those states allow for earlier booze sales on Sundays.
The legislation does not allow for off-sale liquor sales. It also does not require restaurants to serve booze at the earlier time.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s legislature is slated to decide whether concealed-carry permit holders can pack guns at schools, if officials there allow it.
The House endorsed the measure in February. The Senate Education Committee has given the bill a “do not pass” recommendation. The full Senate could debate the bill on Friday.
Education officials have opposed the measure.
The proposal would require someone who wants to carry a gun in school to undergo training with local law enforcement.
A similar measure that would allow teachers and other school officials to carry guns at school failed two years ago in the Legislature.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Some civilian employees at the Minot Air Force Base and surrounding areas will soon see their paychecks increase.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management has authorized wage boosts for skilled trade workers at the base to help them offset the high cost of living in western North Dakota.
Wages will be increased by as much as 30 percent for employees in 17 skilled trade occupations including mechanics, electricians and drill rig operators.
The oil boom and resulting economic boom has significantly raised the cost of living in western North Dakota in recent years. Private sector salaries have largely adjusted to these costs. But often federal government jobs have lagged behind in salary adjustment.
About 100 other civilian employees at the base saw wage hikes in December.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is prohibiting open burning this spring on the Oahe Wildlife Management Area along both sides of the Missouri River south of Bismarck-Mandan. MANDAN, N.D. (AP) – A Mandan woman who is battling cancer is featured on the cover of the current Time magazine.
Sixty-eight-year-old Marcia Stiefel is featured in an article about the gap between cancer treatments offered in large city medical clinics and those offered in rural areas.
Stiefel is fighting brain cancer. She says it isn’t exactly how she wanted to get on the cover of Time. Her interview was set up through her doctor.
Stiefel says he hopes the article will help cancer patients like herself.

It’s another rite of March: Gonzaga out of the NCAA Tournament by the end of the first weekend.

The bigger goal for the West Coast Conference champs is to advance to the second weekend, something they haven’t done since 2009. The last five years have all resulted in exits in their second game, including 2013, when Mark Few’s team was a No. 1 seed but lost to Wichita State, which ended up making the Final Four.
This year’s possible difference-maker: 6-foot-10 Kyle Wiltjer, who transferred from Kentucky and has averaged 16 points and six rebounds.

Boeheim has disputed the ruling that he was not running his program in a responsible manner, saying the basketball team has had a successful track record of academic success.
