Deputy Tax Commissioner Joe Morrissettesays specific business reports are being checked to find the source of the faulty information. He says it appears some sales figures were reported as millions of dollars instead of thousands of dollars.
The report released Wednesday showed that taxable sales and purchases in the state during the last three months of last year increased nearly 17 percent from the same period in 2013, despite declining oil prices during those months.
