FARGO, N.D. (AP) – Court records show that a man involved in a
deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 94 in North Dakota had a
history of alcohol and drug offenses.
     Wyatt Klein, of Jamestown, was one of four people killed when
his pickup collided head-on with a West Fargo family’s car Friday
night. Authorities say Klein was heading east in the westbound
lanes.
     The Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in the crash. Sgt.
Tom Herzig says troopers smelled alcohol on Klein and in his
vehicle.
     The Forum reports  that Klein’s record includes at least three convictions related to underage drinking and driving, five violations for driving with suspended license and one for having marijuana in a vehicle as a driver.
     Klein pleaded guilty in February 2011 to drunken driving in
Minnesota.
