Jamestown (CSi) On Tuesday June 2, 2015, City of Jamestown voters approved a one percent city sales tax to support the proposed Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC). The vote to pass was: Yes votes 1771 No votes 1178
The Jamestown City Council will canvass the votes on Monday June 8, 2015.

Stutsman County is in charge of the elections, and County CEO Casey Bradley says as of mid afternoon Tuesday, a total of almost 2,000 votes had been cast. Of those, about 1,100 ballots were cast at the Civic Center on Tuesday.
Prior to that, a total of 891 Early Voting and Absentee ballots were turned in.
A simple majority is need to pass the issue.
The votes will be canvassed by the City of Jamestown on Monday June 8, 2015.

On June 2nd, 2015 there will be a special election held to decide on a 1% sales tax for the construction and operation of the first phase of the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC). Please note that only City of Jamestown residents will be allowed to vote in this election. Voting and ID requirements are the same as the 2014 General Election and are detailed further down on this page.
ELECTION DAY
– June 2nd, 2015 , at the Jamestown Civic Center. Use NORTH DOOR Polls will be open from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
In order to vote in North Dakota, you must be;
- A U.S. Citizen
- At least 18 years old on election day
- A legal North Dakota resident
- A resident in the precinct for 30 days preceding the election
North Dakota does not currently have voter registration however the State does require you to provide an acceptable form of ID.
WHAT IS AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF ID?
Polling Place Voting
A Valid North Dakota:
- Driver’s license
- Non-driver’s identification card
- Tribal government issued identification card
- Student identification certificate (provided by ND college or university)
- Long-term care identification certificate (provided by ND facility)
Absentee Voting
- North Dakota form of identification listed above
- Passport or Military ID – Only for North Dakota residents living outside the United States who do not possess one of the other forms of identification.
- Attester – An applicant without an acceptable form of identification may use an attester. The attester must provide his or her name, North Dakota driver’s license, non-driver’s, or tribal identification number, and sign the absentee/mail ballot application form to attest to the applicant’s North Dakota residency and voting eligibility.
Identification must include the voter’s Name, Residential Address and Birth Date.
WHAT WILL MY BALLOT LOOK LIKE?
Sample ballots are available for every election. They are posted in the County’s official newspaper as well as being available online at the North Dakota Secretary of State’s website.
WHERE DO I VOTE?
All residents of JAMESTOWN can vote at the Civic Center in Jamestown on Election Day. The normal rural precincts will also be available, refer to the maps below for locations. All residents may also take advantage of the Early Voting Precinct located at the Stutsman County Courthouse two weeks prior to Election Day.
