FrontierVillageBlacksmithJamestown (CSi) The Frontier Village Association Board of Directors is looking for a re-allocation from the Jamestown Tourism Site Advisory Committee of $34,000 for a new storage buildingĀ into repairs to existing structures at Frontier Village.

FVAA Board President Charlie Tanata said the city had approved a recommendation from the committee last year to give the Frontier Village Association Board of Directors $34,000 to pay for a new building to store donated items on the grounds of the Frontier Village.

Tanata said that he belives those funds would be more wisely spent on repairs and improvements to existing buildings in the village.

The board has been looking at constructing a new building next to the Frontier Village Hall to store antique farm equipment and other items that were donated by an area family.

Jamestown Tourism executive director, Searle Swedlund said the advisory committee will meet on Wednesday and make a recommendation to the Jamestown City Council concerning projects that should be funded by 20 percent of the capital construction fund set aside by the city as a portion of the hotel and restaurant hospitality tax for this fund.
