John Richardson – July 5, 2015

John Richardson, 65, of Jamestown, ND, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church,  1200 12th Ave NE, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Randy Jaspers officiating.

John A. Richardson was born on May 31, 1950 in Elgin, IL the son of Henry and Dorothy A. (Thomas) Richardson. He was raised in Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School in 1968. John graduated from DeVry University in two years with a degree in electrical engineering. He made his career in telecommunication at Bell Telephone Co. from which he retired. John and Lori were married in Palmdale, CA on September 25, 2004 and they made their home in Jamestown shortly thereafter.

John liked to capture events on video and make DVDs for people. His role models were Albert Einstein and Disney’s Goofy character. John was a man who could see the good in people. For instance, John was fascinated by Al Capone and knew that he had good intentions, but made unfortunate decisions.

John is survived by his wife, Lori Richardson; daughter, Heidi Richardson; son, John H. Richardson; grandchildren; and stepdaughter Amanda Hodges.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church, 1200 12th Ave NE, Jamestown with Rev. Randy Jaspers officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
