Law enforcement was on the scene diverting traffic around the downed power lines.
Hoff says, later in the afternoon two additional poles were snagged and taken down, also by high profile vehicles or something on a trailer, as law enforcement is investigating.
Hoff says the power was off in a section of Northwest Jamestown from around downtown, into the Fort Seward area, from about 1:12 – p.m., to 1:35-p.m. The power outage affected 830 customers. All affected areas were expected to have power restored by 6-p.m., Thursday.
Otter Tail crews were installing the three new poles and re-stringing the lines, which was expected to be completed by later Thursday.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – A University of North Dakota fraternity chapter has been placed on limited operations pending a police investigation into whether a gay man was assaulted and subjected to taunts about his sexual orientation.
UND president Robert Kelley says the weekend incident at the Lambda Chi Alpha house in Grand Forks is being investigated by the University of North Dakota and Grand Forks police departments.
Lambda Chi Alpha’s national headquarters says the fraternity is assisting with the investigation and it takes the alleged incident seriously, although there isn’t sufficient information to support the claims.
Kelley sent a letter to students Wednesday saying that although the school didn’t know all of the details, he was deeply concerned by the report. He says violent behavior of such a nature is not tolerated at UND.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp has come out in favor of the Iran nuclear deal that helps preserve a top foreign policy achievement for President Barack Obama.
The North Dakota Democrat’s declaration Thursday gave Democrats 37 votes – or three more than the 34 votes necessary to sustain Obama’s promised veto of legislation aimed at blocking the deal.
Republicans unanimously oppose the deal that aims to curb Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions.

NEW YORK (AP) – New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft says his team can finally return its focus from “Deflategate” to the game on the field. He says he’s grateful for what he calls the “thoughtful” decision by U.S. District Judge Richard Berman to overturn the NFL’s four-game suspension of Tom Brady over underinflated footballs in a playoff game last season. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he will appeal the ruling. But the NFL says it won’t seek an emergency stay — so Brady will be able to play while an appeals court considers the case.

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) – A federal judge in Kentucky says the oath he took to become a judge takes precedence over his own religious beliefs. And Judge David Bunning says the same holds true for Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who has refused to issue marriage licenses since the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. The judge Thursday ordered Davis to jail until she complies with his order to issue the licenses. She argues that her Christian faith should exempt her from signing the licenses.
NEW YORK (AP) – Donald Trump says he has signed a Republican loyalty pledge to back the GOP’s 2016 nominee for president and skip a potential third-party bid. The billionaire businessman and presidential candidate roiled the GOP race when he refused to make such a promise in the campaign’s first debate. The front-runner was the only candidate on stage not to make the commitment. A third-party bid by Trump could harm the GOP’s efforts to take back the White House.
