Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown City Fire Department, Lt. Sheldon Mohr, says that two of three tenants left homeless in a recent condominium fire in Jamestown will not be returning to the same homes.

About 30 firefighters and five units from Jamestown Fire Department responded to the blaze reported at 9:49 p.m. December 18th, staying on the scene until 3 a.m. the next day. Three townhomes burned and others were evacuated along the 2nd Avenue Southwest cul de sac that borders the James River.
The families were assisted by the Buffalo Valley Chapter of the Red Cross. Caseworkers are still working with the families.
Joyce Baumgartner, who occupied the center condominium that completely burned, has found a new apartment in Jamestown.
Five members of the Brandon Iverson family are hoping to get back into their condo in early January.
The three members of the Courtney Humes family would have had a much longer wait, stemming from a hole in the roof of their condo that exposed the interior.
However, the family had been planning a move to a home in Spiritwood before the fire happened, however, and will follow through with that plan.
