Update…
Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department was called to a house fire about 1:55 p.m., on Thursday, Dec 24, at 2007 2nd Place, Northeast.
The cause was listed in a faulty ceiling heat fan in the bathroom, which caused a smoldering fire.
Fire fighters pulled out attic insulation, after the owner had removed the ceiling fan, which the fire department removed from the home, to prevent a rekindle.
Fire damage was confined to the bathroom, and attic rafters.
No injuries were reported.
Five City Fire Department units and 21 firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and a half.

The winner, a resident of Bismarck who chose to remain anonymous, won with the quick pick ticket.
The individual is planning on taking a trip.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Legislature’s decision to loosen the state’s Depression-era ban against corporate farming and the University of North Dakota’s new nickname were big news in the state in 2015. But the year’s top story was slipping oil prices and the slowdown in the state’s oil patch.
The price of North Dakota sweet crude has fallen by half from a year ago and the number of drill rigs has dropped by two-thirds. And that’s been bad news for state government. Overall tax revenues are already $152 million less than projected for the two-year budget cycle that began on July 1.
Most of the drop comes from weakened sales tax revenue due to a decline in drilling. Sales tax provides the biggest share of the budget for North Dakota government.

CHICAGO (AP) – Dozens of protesters in Chicago have again set out onto Michigan Avenue, which is crowded with last-minute Christmas shoppers. The protest is the latest in a series of demonstrations in the city since the release last month of police video showing a white officer shoot a black teenager 16 times. Protesters are critical of the police department’s treatment of suspects, particularly black ones. The protest is smaller than one held in the same shopping district on Black Friday. Officer Jason Van Dyke has been charged with first-degree murder in the October 2014 killing of Laquan McDonald.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – It’s Christmas Eve, but in the Northeast, it sure feels like spring. Record-shattering temperatures in the 60s and 70s have settled over the region, making a mockery of such Yuletide traditions as bulky sweaters, hot chocolate and a roaring fire. And Christmas Day promises to be balmy, too. Some people are trading gloves and scarves for shorts and T-shirts — and they’re going golfing and jogging instead of skiing. Some plan to grill steaks in the backyard instead of putting a Christmas ham in the oven.
WASHINGTON (AP) – The Department of Homeland Security is planning nationwide raids aimed at deporting adults and children who have already been ordered removed by an immigration judge. The Washington Post says the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation will begin as soon as next month and will likely affect hundreds of immigrants who fled violence in Central America.
ODESSA, Texas (AP) – A man has been charged with shooting two police officers during a nine-hour standoff at an apartment complex in Odessa, Texas. Jail records show Roy Garza is being held on eight counts of attempted capital murder in the shooting Wednesday, plus an aggravated robbery warrant. Police say Garza fired at officers as they tried to serve a parole violation warrant at the apartment complex. The officers are hospitalized in fair condition.
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (AP) – An internal investigation by a prestigious Rhode Island boarding school has found that 26 students were sexually abused by a half dozen school employees in the 1970s and 1980s. St. George’s School sent a letter to alumni Wednesday detailing the credible allegations and apologizing for not doing more at the time to keep students safe and report abusers to authorities. One of the former employees have died. The others have now been reported to state police.
