     Top teams remain the same

UNDATED (AP) – Last Monday Kansas and Oklahoma were tagged as 1 and 2 in The Associated Press Top-25 poll. They then hooked up in a classic triple overtime game which the top-ranked Jayhawks won. In the new poll, the teams have remained in the same spots with Kansas getting all but two first-place votes from the 65-member media panel.

The Jayhawks, who are 14-1, are followed by the Sooners, who got one first place vote, while Maryland is third and Michigan State fourth. The Spartans got the remaining first place nod. North Carolina is fifth followed by Villanova, Xavier, Miami, Duke and SMU.

SMU is in the top 10 for the first time since February 1985. The Mustangs and No. 19 South Carolina are each 15-0 on the season. SMU is ineligible for the postseason because of NCAA rules violations.
