Committee formed resolve county SCDRC differences

Jamestown (CSi) A committee has been formed in an attempt to resolve a disagreement between the Stutsman County Commission and South Central Dakota Regional Council.

The committee will include members from the County Commission, Regional Council and Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation.

The committee Commission Chairman Mark Klose following a discussion with Joe Neis, chairman of the Regional Council and Deb Kantrud, executive director of the Regional Council.

The County Commission had been asked to reconsider paying dues to the Regional Council after voting in September not to include the dues in the 2016 budget.

Klose said communication between the Regional Council and the County Commission was part of the problem.
