Jamestown (CSi) The James River Humane Society had a large turnout for the The Voice of Elvis, impersonator show, fundraiser, on Saturday April 2nd.
On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable two JRHS, Vice President Matt Opsahl said, that about 92 tickets were sold, amounting to around $7,000 raised, and when expenses are subtracted it still should turn a nice profit for the shelter.
He added that Kaye John who won the dog house, donated back to the shelter.
Upcoming fundraisers include:
A Meet and greet is planned at Deer Ridge Apartments on April 16th from 10am to 2pm.
A Bake sale at the Buffalo Mall April 23, 2016, from 10am to 2pm.
The shelter welcomes dog volunteers, with duties including, cleaning and feeding of dogs in the evening.
Currently the shelter has 15 dogs, and 8 cats available for adoption.
The James River Humane Society shelter is open everyday from 9-a.m., to noon and 5:30-p.m., to 6:30-p.m., or by appointment.
The shelter is located off the I-94 Bloom Exit.
