JPDviolencesJamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police reports, a 49-year-old man was stabbed Monday night during a domestic dispute with a 27-year-old woman.

Lt. Justin Blinsky reported that  officers went to 407 1st Avenue, North, at 11:05 p.m. to the report of a stabbing.

He said officers spoke to the victim when they arrived on the scene. The man was treated to by the Jamestown Area Ambulance Service personnel. He was  taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of an injury to his upper left arm and was released.

Blinsky said the injury was non-life threatening and was caused by a knife.

Officers found the alleged suspect, the 27-year-old female, in an apartment complex about a half-block away from the residence on 1st Avenue North. She was taken into custody and transported to the North Dakota State Hospital for evaluation.

Blinksy said alcohol was a factor in this matter.

The man and woman are Jamestown residents.

Blinsky said the incident is still an open case and charges are pending. The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
