Jamestown (CSi Members of the Jamestown Regional Airport heard a report Wednesday, of the airport having its best month ever with 998 boardings in March.
Chairman Jim Boyd pointed out that the figure represents, an all-time record.
Boyd said the first quarter of 2016 was at a pace to exceed 10,000 boardings for a year. That would be an increase from the roughly 8,500 boardings in 2015 which was the most since airline deregulation in the 1970s.
The Airport Authority also approved RTS Shearing, of Jamestown, as the apparent low bidder for a project to repave a taxiway planned for this summer.
The Airport Authority also approved purchasing a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD double cab pickup from Wilhelm Chevrolet, Buick, GMC.
Jeff Wilhelm, a member of the Regional Airport Authority, abstained from the vote on the truck purchase.
