NDHP2Fargo  (CSi)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports,  Wednesday morning at 9:01 a.m., a  trooper stopped a speeding vehicle traveling south on I-29 between the 32nd Ave and 52nd Ave exits in Fargo.  During the traffic stop, the vehicle was searched and a homemade pipe bomb was discovered in the glove box.

The Red River Valley Bomb Squad responded to the scene and safely retrieved and transported the explosive device to a secure location.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Mitchael Leroy Anderson of Fargo, was arrested for the following offenses:

  • Felony possession of an explosive
  • Misdemeanor driving under suspension
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
