DEVILS LAKE, N.D. The Forum reports a Jamestown man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl.

37 year old Paul Frederick Cross, was charged in December in Ramsey County District Court with gross sexual imposition, a Class A felony, after inappropriately touching and exposing himself to the victim in 2012

He faced a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for the felony, but he was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison and nine years of supervised probation. Cross must serve one year in prison before he can be considered to start the nine years of probation.

Cross was given credit for five days served. He must also pay $535 in fees.
