BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Lottery officials in North Dakota say a Williston resident has claimed the largest lottery prize ever won in North Dakota.
The man, who officials say has chosen to remain anonymous, claimed the $3 million prize Friday. The Mega Millions ticket for the Tuesday draw was sold at a gas station in Williston.
A Powerball prize worth $1 million was also claimed Friday. A group from Jamestown won the prize in the April 20 draw.
Lottery officials say the Powerball prize is the fourth largest prize won in North Dakota Lottery history. The winners also chose to remain anonymous.
The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s draw is about $187 million, while the Powerball jackpot for the Saturday’s draw is estimated at $70 million.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Lottery says a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million was sold in Williston.
Lottery officials say it marks the largest prize won in the history of the North Dakota Lottery. No one has yet come forward yet to claim the prize.
The ticket matched all five white balls for a $1 million prize, but the buyer purchased a Megaplier for $1 more and the draw of a “3” tripled the prize’s value. It was sold at Kum & Go on 2nd Street West, which will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The numbers were 17, 24, 27, 48, 75, and the Mega Ball was 6.
