Bismarck (CSi) The NDDOT reports that construction begins on Carrington area projects including US 52 widening project and roundabout project at east Jct. ND 200 and US 52 intersection
Construction will begin May 26 on a road project in the Carrington area. A roundabout will be constructed at the east Jct. of ND 200 and US 52 in Carrington. This project also includes 24 miles of widening and paving on US 52 from the east Jct. of ND 200 to the west Jct. of ND 200 west of Carrington.
During construction:
- Traffic will be moved to a temporary roadway around the intersection of US 52 and ND 200
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in areas along US 52
- Speeds will be reduced
- A width restriction of 11 feet will be in place
- A length restriction of 75 feet will be in place
- Flaggers and pilot cars will be present
- Motorists should expect delays
Motorists traveling northbound/southbound US 52 are encouraged to utilize an alternate route:
- Northbound US 52 traffic take US 281 to south Jct. of ND 15 near New Rockford. Turn west on ND 15 to US 52 at Fessenden.
- Southbound US 52 traffic turn east at Fessenden onto ND 15. Take ND 15 to US 281 near New Rockford and turn south on US 281 to the east Jct. of US 52.
The project is expected to be completed this fall. More information about the roundabout will be coming.
