Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police has confirmed that a 14-year-old Jamestown boy injured on May 17th after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck has died from his injuries

Maj. John Johnson says Christopher A. Roach died Sunday.

The accident occurred at 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of 3rd Street and 7th Avenue in Northeast Jamestown. The truck was owned by RTS Shearing.

The police report said:

69 year old Robert Eversvik, of Jamestown, was driving a 1995 International Harvester dump truck north on 7th Avenue Northeast around 3:35 p.m. May 17, 2016 for RTS Shearing LLC. The truck was approaching the intersection with 3rd Street Northeast.

Police said Christopher Roach was riding a bicycle west on 3rd Street Northeast at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection with 7th Avenue Northeast.

Police said witnesses at the scene reported that Christopher did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection and was struck by the truck.

Roach was transported by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and was later transported by Life Flight to a hospital in Fargo.
