Carrington (CSi) At a Special Election, voters in the Carrington School District approved building a new elementary school by more than the required 60% to pass.
Unofficial results from school bond question number One: Yes 823, 64% No 468, 36% Total votes 1293.
Unofficial results from question Two: Yes 793, 61% No 497 39% Total Votes 1293. Vote passed. Under North Dakota law 60 percent or more is need to pass a school bond issue.
Superintendent Brian Duchscherer saysthe new project has cut some items and will cost a bit less than the first project proposal.
The proposal was scaled back from a $23.5 million project that failed when it got only 51 percent approval in a February election.
