On Wednesday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Stutsman County Veterans Service, Officer, David Bratton said, on Friday August 12, 2016 from 9-a.m., to 12 noon the program will be, Managing Stress for Family Caregivers, to be held at the Fargo V.A.’s third floor auditiorium. (Lunch will be provided).

Also on August 12th from 1-p.m., to 4-p.m., also at the auditorium the program will be Problem Solving and Effective Communication for Family Caregivers.

Bratton said June is National PTSD Awareness Month, designated by the U.S. Senate.

The month promotes awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and includes facts and information which can be found on line at www.ptsd.va.gov

He pointed out that the Jamestown PTSD Group meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month, in the lower level of the Law Enforcement Center in Jamestown from 12:30-p.m. to 2-p.m., with a representative from the Fargo Vets Center, who is a combat veteran, hearing concerns and offering support and programs available.

He reminded veterans that the Veterans Crisis Line is 1-800-273-8255 for confidential talks with a trained counseling staff.

He added that the V.A. is launching the Veterans Legacy Program, to offer interactive experiences at national cemeteries.
