sobriety&patch NDHPFargo (CSi) Troopers in the North Dakota Highway Patrol’s southeast region conducted alcohol saturation patrols Friday, May 27th and Saturday, May 28th in Cass, Barnes and Stutsman counties.

Results from the saturation patrols:

 

· 6 – DUI arrests

· 1 – Minor in Possession arrest

· 8 – Open Container citations

· 22 – Driving Without Insurance citations

· 2 – Felony drug arrests

· 13 – Misdemeanor drug arrests

· 9 – Driving Under Suspension arrests

· 1 – Carrying a Concealed Weapon arrest

 

In 2016, approximately half of North Dakota traffic fatalities were alcohol-related. The North Dakota Highway Patrol uses saturation patrols to deter drinking and driving, reducing the occurrence of alcohol-related crashes, injuries, and deaths.
