Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) – A Bismarck woman claims Jamestown police did not respect her constitutional rights because she is deaf.

WDAY TV has reported, on Monday, Christine Stein of Bismarck filed a lawsuit against the City of Jamestown, Jamestown police officer Brian Davis, Stutsman County and multiple judicial agencies and their employees.

She says it’s because she was wrongfully arrested and then put in solitary confinement overnight. She was also brought in front of a judge the next day without an interpreter.

A judge eventually dropped all arresting charges.

The TV station reports that it reached out to all those involved in the lawsuit, and they all declined to comment. A court date has not yet been set.
