Jamestown (CSi) The community is invited to volunteer with additional plantings at the Hansen Arts Park in Downtown Jamestown.

On Thursday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Arts Center, Director, Cyndi Wish said hedges will be planted along the wall, and volunteers may show up at the Arts Park , Tuesday June 21, between 4 and 7 pm. Most supplies will be provided but bring along gloves or shovels if you want.

Volunteers are always needed for weeding at the Park.

Also on our show, Cyndi pointed out that summer classes are in progress, and to contact the Arts Center for more information at 251-2496.

The present exhibit in the gallery is by Mark Strand with images of Jamestown. Also Elmer Peterson’s sculptures are on display.

The Celtic Fingerstyle Guitarist, Jerry Barlow will be at the Arts Center on Thursday June 23, 2016, at 7-p.m. Tickets available at the door, at $15 or $10 for Arts Center members.

TwoRiversArtsSchoolThe musical drama camp is coming up for youth in grades 2-8, sponsored by the Jamestown Arts Center, and Two Rivers Performing Arts School in Jamestown.

Also on the 23rd is the Annual Membership Meeting at noon at the Arts Center. New officers will be elected, along with the opportunity to discuss issues.

 

The camp will be held from July 11, 29, 2016, Monday-Friday from 9-a.m., to noon, with a performance at the Arts Center July 29th at 7-p.m.
