Joshua M. Mering, 33, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2016.

Joshua Michael Mering was born August 23, 1982, in Jamestown, the son of Ray D. Mering III and Chris (Nygaard) Mering. He attended St. John’s Academy, Jamestown and Oak Grove Lutheran High School, Fargo. Josh returned to Jamestown to manage the family business, Jetstream Car Wash. He loved and took pride in his work, made sure everything ran smoothly from the mechanics of the wash to the customer care. In Josh’s spare time he enjoyed his family, dogs, being outside, taking care of animals, being on the water, traveling, and loved working on his mom’s to-do list of projects. He was a great friend and always wanted to make people happy. In general, Josh enjoyed helping people. Josh was full of life, kind, hardworking, loving, energetic, enthusiastic, and a great son, brother, and uncle.

Josh is survived by his parents, Ray and Chris Mering, Jamestown; sister, Jennifer Mering, Minneapolis, MN; sister, Sarah Mering, Minneapolis; brother, Ray Mering IV, Jamestown; sister, Tiffany Aalderks, Woodbury, MN and her children, Sadie Aalderks and Mason Aalderks; Melissa (Eric) Haas, Bismarck, ND and their children, Claire Haas and Noah Haas; grandfather, Arden Nygaard, Fargo, ND; and fiancée, Misty Berg and her daughter, Sierra Berg.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacqueline and Ray D. Mering, Jr.; maternal grandfather, Bruce Maxon; and maternal grandmother, MaryJane Nygaard.

Mass of Christian Burial:

10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. James Basilica.

Visitation: None Scheduled. Arrangements are in the care of Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel.

Interment:  Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
