GuthmillerLeviShawnJamestown (CSi) On Wednesday afternoon, Jamestown Police, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Highway Patrol, sought a car reportedly stolen earlier in the day.  It had been spotted by law enforcement being driven in Jamestown.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says 23 year-old Levi Guthmiller was seen driving the white 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, by a Task Force officer in an unmarked vehicle, who recognized Guthmiller, who had an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.  The vehicle fled the officer, running stop signs and driving in a reckless manor.

The agencies were unable to make a stop. As of Thursday afternoon, Guthmiller and the vehicle have not be located.  Kaiser says Guthmiller faces charges.

Jamestown (CSi) Local law enforcement reported a busy past couple of days.

On Tuesday afternoon, Jamestown Police reported that an officer was assaulted by a male following a traffic stop, under  suspicion of driving with a suspended license, on First Avenue South. The unidentified man reportedly was not injured,  and  arrested, the officer received minor injuries.

Then on Wednesday afternoon, Jamestown Police, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Highway Patrol, sought a car reportedly stolen earlier in the day, which was spotted by law enforcement being driven in Jamestown.

The driver allegedly was driving with a suspended license.

The agencies were unable to make a stop.

The investigation is also continuing concerning the stolen vehicle report.
