A followup to another story…
Jamestown (CSi) On Tuesday afternoon, Jamestown Police reported that an officer was assaulted by a male following a traffic stop, under suspicion of driving with a suspended license, on First Avenue South.
It was observed that he had a cracked windshield and no seat belt.
The man identified as Eric Anderson of Jamestown reportedly was not injured, and arrested, the officer received minor injuries.
After the stop an argument between Anderson and the officer, led to a struggle with the suspect punching and scratching the officer in the face.
The officer gained control over Anderson before backup assistance arrived.
He faces several charges which include Assault of a Peace Officer, a Class C felony and Driving Under Suspension
Anderson is being held in the Stutsman County Jail.
