ndhpJamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, a semi traveling on I-94 west bound at 2:45 a.m., Thursday struck a pedestrian, about a mile west of Tower City.

The report says the Pedestrian identified as 22 year old Mohaned Abedilahi of Fargo, was walking in the right westbound lane.

The report says driver the 2015 Freightliner semi with trailer 54 year old Michael Tetlock of Saskatchewan swerved left to avoid the pedestrian but was unable to.

The Freightliner struck the man, who was transported by Sanford LifeFlight to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

Assisting at the scene was Barnes County Ambulance Service, The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, and The Tower City Fire Department.
