Jamestown (CSi) Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016, Senator John Hoeven will honor the service of two North Dakota veterans at military medal presentations in Carrington and Jamestown, and later in the day deliver remarks at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s 5th Anniversary Celebration.

In Carrington, the senator will present a Purple Heart to James Laurie, who served in the Vietnam War.

In Jamestown, Hoeven will present the Silver Star, the third-highest military decoration, posthumously to the family of Reinholdt Hofmann, who was killed in action during World War II.

Jamestown Regional Medical Center 5th Anniversary Celebration

Thursday evening, Senator Hoeven will deliver remarks commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s (JRMC) facilities. In 2009, then Governor Hoeven attended the groundbreaking for JRMC’s building, which he then toured in 2011.

JRMC is a Critical Access Hospital with 345 employees that serves the south central region of the state. JRMC provides inpatient and outpatient care, has a 24-hour emergency department that serves more than 9,000 patients per year and has the region’s only birthing center.
