Bismarck ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol
Reports, a 40-year-old Bismarck man died Friday night, (Jul 20, 2012
about 9:25, when the pickup he was driving rolled after he swerved to miss
deer.
The report says, Brian Lee Sumner was eastbound on the gravel
roadway on Highway 10 about three and a half miles east of Steele.
The patrol says, Sumner apparently lost control of the 1997
GMC Sonoma pickup after swerving to miss the animals.
The pickup rolled two to three times and came to rest on
its passenger side in the north ditch.
Sumner and his passengers, 47 year old Kerrie Vester, of, Tappen
and a 9-year-old girl, of Tappen, were not wearing
seat belts and were ejected from the pickup.
Sumner died at the scene. The passengers were injured and were
transported to a Bismarck hospital.
The pickup was totaled.
The accident remains is under investigation.
