tessa2Jamestown (CSi)–  District 12 Democrats announce that Jamestown native Tessa Gould will be the keynote speaker at a BBQ pork roast and pie auction event set for Sunday, Oct. 2,  2016 at 3:30 p.m. at The Bunker in Jamestown. Local and statewide candidates will be present, and entertainment provided following the meal at 5 p.m.

Gould is the chief of staff for Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. In that role, she serves as the chief advisor to the senator on day-to-day operations of her congressional office with more than 50 employees located in Washington, D.C., Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Bismarck and Dickinson.

Prior to being named chief of staff, Gould managed Heitkamp’s successful 2012 race for the state’s open Senate seat. She previously managed seven successful congressional campaigns and served as chief of staff to Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD).

Gould has dedicated her professional career to advancing public policy important to agriculture, rural economic development, tribal issues, and children’s health. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Jamestown.

Tickets are available at Grabinger’s Marine (252-4824) and Park Plaza Barber Shop (252-6001) in Jamestown. Cost is $25 per ticket, if purchased before Oct. 2, or $30 at the door. The Bunker is located at 1520 3rd St. SE.

Dist. 12 and Dist. 29 Dem-NPL Democrats are hosting the event, which is open to the public.
