Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, a 43 year old Casselton woman was injured in a one vehicle rollover at 1:11-p.m., Sunday.
The 2016 Ford Escape was traveling west on I-94, approximately a mile east of the Tower City exit, when it went into the median. After entering the median, the SUV swerved right across the westbound lanes of I 94 and entered the north ditch. After entering the north ditch, it struck the concrete partition at a box culvert at this location. After the impact, the Ford rolled and came to rest on its drivers side in the north ditch of the interstate.
The 43 year old driver, Amy Hartze who was seat belted, was pinned inside the vehicle. She was extricated by emergency personnel. After extraction, the driver was transported to Essentia Hospital in Fargo by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
A medical condition is believed to be the cause of the crash.

MOFFIT, N.D. (AP) — A Sterling man injured in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 83 late last week died over the weekend.

The man died of his injuries on Saturday in a Bismarck hospital. His name wasn’t immediately released.
NEW SALEM, N.D. (AP) — A crash involving two pickup trucks on Interstate 94 west of Bismarck killed a man from that city.

The other driver was treated at a Bismarck hospital for minor injuries.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A court ruling has given anhydrous ammonia fertilizer dealers a reprieve from a federal policy change that some say would unfairly burden the industry.
Anhydrous is a common crop fertilizer. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration policy change announced last year would regulate anhydrous retailers under the same standards as manufacturers. It came after a deadly explosion at a Texas fertilizer facility in 2013.
The Agricultural Retailers Association and The Fertilizer Institute say the change would affect 3,800 fertilizer retailers nationwide, costing them more than $100 million. The two organizations sued a year ago.
The change was to take effect Oct. 1, this coming Saturday. But a federal appeals court has ruled that OSHA can’t implement it without going through a formal rule-making process.
WASHINGTON (AP) — As defense chief for a president who famously envisioned “a world without nuclear weapons,” Ash Carter has said remarkably little about them.
He has been quiet on a range of nuclear issues, including the Pentagon’s efforts to correct an array of morale, training, discipline and resource problems in the Air Force nuclear missile corps.
When asked, he has left no doubt he sees nuclear weapons as the “bedrock” of U.S. security. But he rarely reveals the underpinnings of his thinking.
This quiet approach is expected to end when Carter visits Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota on Monday. There he plans to deliver a speech on nuclear deterrence. It will be his first visit to a nuclear weapons base since he became defense secretary in February 2015.
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A social services agency is struggling to distribute needed protein to food pantries in Williston because of the lack of licensed processors in the area.
The Community Action Partnership of North Dakota created the Sportsmen Against Hunger program as pantry items reached critical lows at the local Salvation Army. The organization pays for processing of a filled tag in exchange for a meat donation.
Williston Community Action Partnership client services director Deeann Long says the program gained traction until harsh winters wiped out the deer population. Activity and participation was minimal by 2014.
Western North Dakota became a processing desert after the absence of deer drove processors in the region to close.
The program has been stalled because of the lack of certified processors.
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A Williston couple has planted a tree in their front yard to honor their deceased grandson and raise awareness about depression and suicide.
A young Princeton gold maple stands in front of Loyce and James Rauser’s home, where their grandson, 35-year-old Erik Rauser, lived with them since he was a teenager.
Erik Rauser killed himself in June. The Rausers say he struggled with depression and shrugged off their attempts to urge him to seek help.
The couple plans to plant more trees at the new Williston High School.
Erik Rauser was passionate about trees. He had graduated from the North Dakota School of Forestry and was planning to start his own tree maintenance business in Minneapolis.
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A new $5 million animal shelter is planned in Williston.
City officials broke ground on the planned facility last week.
Officials say the exterior of the 18,000-square-foot building is on track to be finished by December. Space for veterinary and grooming services for rescued dogs and cats is expected to be finished in about a year.
Officials say the facility will serve Williams and McKenzie counties, along with eastern Montana.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Sam Bradford threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Rudolph, Marcus Sherels returned a punt for a score and the Minnesota Vikings snapped the Carolina Panthers’ 14-game home winning streak 22-10 on Sunday.
The Vikings (3-0) put the clamps on Cam Newton, intercepting the league’s reigning MVP three times and sacking him eight times, one of those resulting in a safety by Danielle Hunter.
The eight sacks were the second-most ever against Newton.
Bradford improved to 2-0 as the Vikings starter, completing 18 of 28 passes for 171 yards. With Adrian Peterson injured, Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon combined for 70 yards rushing on 22 carries. Rudolph had seven catches for 70 yards, including a 15-yard TD catch to put the Vikings ahead for good in the early in the third quarter.
Outside the stadium about 100 people gathered before the game to stage a peaceful protest over the police shooting of a 43-year-old black man last week.
Carolina only led 10-8 at halftime despite outgaining the Vikings 205-34 in the first half and limiting Minnesota to two first downs.
UNDATED (AP) — Rookie quarterbacks are supposed to struggle in the NFL. Try telling that to Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott.
Wentz completed 23 of his 31 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 34-3 pounding of Pittsburgh. The second player taken in this year’s draft hit Darren Sproles for a 73-yard catch-and-run and found Jordan Matthews for a 12-yard score.
Wentz has completed 66 of his 102 passes for 769 yards, five TDs and no interceptions so far for the 3-0 Eagles.
Denver is doing quite nicely with its first-year starting signal-caller. The Broncos are 3-0 after Trevor Siemian threw a career-high four touchdown passes in his first road start to lead a 29-17 win over the Bengals. He rallied the Broncos with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes and finished 23 of 35 for 312 yards and a passer rating of 132.1. According to ESPN Stats and Info, Siemian is the first NFL quarterback to throw for 300 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in his road debut
Aaron Rodgers tossed two of his four scoring strikes to Jordy Nelson in the first half of Green Bay’s 34-27 victory over Detroit. Rodgers passed for 205 yards on 15 completions for the 2-1 Packers, while Nelson grabbed six passes for 101 yards. Marvin Jones had a career high 205 yards on six receptions, including a touchdown for the 1-2 Lions.
The Cowboys’ rookie quarterback was sharp in a 31-17 win over Chicago. Dak Prescott led scoring drives on each of the Cowboys’ four possessions in the first half before throwing his first career TD pass, hitting Dez Bryant to put Dallas ahead 31-10 in the fourth quarter. Prescott hasn’t thrown an interception in his first 99 pass attempts, three behind Wentz’s string of 102 straight attempts without a pick.
The 2-1 Cowboys ended an eight-game home losing streak and dropped the Bears to 0-3.

MINNEAPOLIS Kevin Garnett’s second run with the Minnesota Timberwolves has ended.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports, the 40 year old KG,was about to enter the final season of his contract and the team was reportedly working on a buyout recently.
He has spent 13½ of his 21 NBA seasons with Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced a number of additions to their front office and coaching staffs, including assistant general manager Noah Croom and director of player personnel Brian Pauga.
The Wolves made the announcement on Sunday night, two days before they open their first training camp under new president and coach Tom Thibodeau and new GM Scott Layden.
Also announced were Thibodeau’s assistants. Ryan Saunders, son of the late Flip Saunders, and Vince Legarza were retained from the previous staff. Longtime Thibodeau confidante Andy Greer was hired away from Toronto. The Wolves hold their annual media day on Monday.
GOLF-PALMER OBIT…
UNDATED (AP) — Arnold Palmer was one of the most popular figures ever in golf, generating a fervid fan base while winning seven major championships among his 62 PGA titles. Palmer has died in Pittsburgh at age 87.
Arnold Palmer Enterprises CEO Alastair Johnson confirmed that the golf legend died Sunday of complications from heart problems. Johnson added that Palmer was admitted to the hospital Thursday for some cardiovascular work and weakened over the last few days.
Palmer’s good looks, mischievous demeanor and risky playing style made him a fan favorite while he helped to grow the sport on television. He came off as an “everyman,” as he hitched up his pants, flicked away a cigarette and attack the flags.
Palmer’s playing career included memorable moments at the U.S. Open, where he rallied from seven shots down to win and once blew a seven-stroke lead on the back nine to lose.
Tiger Woods said two years ago that golf wouldn’t be as popular as it is now. “Thanks Arnold for your friendship, counsel and a lot of laughs,” Woods tweeted Sunday night.
OBIT-FERNANDEZ..
MIAMI (AP) — The baseball world is mourning the loss of Jose Fernandez.
Authorities say the Marlins right-hander and two others were killed when their 32-foot vessel slammed into a jetty off Miami Beach. The remains of the boat and bodies were found early Sunday morning. A spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says none of the victims wore a life jacket, and that there was no immediate indication that alcohol or drugs were a cause in the crash.
Fernandez won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2013 and had successfully returned to form following Tommy John surgery. The two-time All-Star was 38-17 with a 2.58 ERA in 76 starts over his four-year major league career. He had a 16-8 record with a 2.86 earned run average and 253 strikeouts in 182 1/3 innings this season.
Marlins’ manager Don Mattingly said he’ll always think of Fernandez when he watches children play baseball because that’s how Fernandez approached the game.
Fernandez escaped from Cuba on his fourth try as a teenager and became a U.S. citizen last year.
Sunday’s game between the Marlins and visiting Atlanta Braves was canceled.

HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police say several people have been shot at a strip mall in the city’s southwest and that officers shot the gunman.
Police said via Twitter Monday that an “active shooter at Weslayan & Bissonnet has been shot by our officers” and that there are no reports of other suspects “at this time.”
Police say several people have been taken to the hospital but that they cannot provide details about how many were shot or the severity of their injuries.
The Associated Press has left messages seeking comment from the police.
