Updated . . . Jamestown (CSi) The Highway Patrol report says the Honda motorcycle operator, 63 year old Steve Westby of Sheyenne, North Dakota, was injured and taken by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities responded to a motorcycle, pickup truck crash, Thursday afternoon, at 2:23 p.m., on U.S. Highway 52/281 at the intersection with 30th Street near Agri-Cover, five mile north of Jamestown.

The northbound motorcycle struck the westbound Silverado pickup driven by 24 year old Darnell Landon of Woodbridge, Ontario. The pickup had stopped for a stop sign at the intersection, and then pulled in front of the motorcycle.
Westby braked prior to the collision, and he and the motorcycle came to rest on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of the highway. The pickup came to rest on the northbound shoulder of the highway
Westby was wearing a helmet and received non-life threatening injuries.
Landon was not injured, and was wearing a seatbelt. Airbags in the pickup deployed.
The accident remains under investigation.
