Elizabeth J. Singer, 90, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Port Ludlow, WA, passed away Tuesday morning, October 18, 2016 at Eventide in Jamestown.

Elizabeth “Beth” Singer was born September 16, 1926 in Jamestown, the daughter of Herman L. and Minnie L. (Anderson) Tordoff. She attended Jamestown Public Schools, graduating from Jamestown High School and Jamestown College.  Beth taught elementary students in several cities in North Dakota until moving to California in 1955 where she taught in Long Beach until 1974.  On March 9, 1957 she married William Singer in Long Beach and they resided there until 1984 when they moved to Port Ludlow.  Beth moved to Jamestown in October 2012 where she resided at Rock of Ages, and then Eventide.  She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Beth is survived by her nieces, Lisa (Tom) Boerger and Julie (Jon) Nathan, both of Jamestown; and nephew, Michael Tordoff, Waconia, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, H.L. “Bud” Tordoff.
