Lisbon (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, on November 4th, at approximately 8:57 am, law enforcement responded to a report of a deceased female in the east ditch of Hwy. 32 approximately 1/2 mile north of Lisbon. Through investigation it was learned the 44 year old female identifed as Ilina Valkova of Lisbon was walking northbound along Hwy. 32 when she was struck from behind by a 2001 Chevrolet S10 pickup, driven by Paul Vincent. Vincent fled the scene, but was arrested later in the day in Cooperstown.
Vincent had concealed his vehicle after the crash at a location near Gwinner. Through the cooperation of several law enforcement agencies and witnesses, investigators were able to identify and arrest Vincent without incident. Vincent is currently charged with Felony – Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Crash and is being held at the Barnes County Jail.
The crash remains under investigation. An approximate time of the crash is determined to be between 5:30-6:00 am on November 4th. Lisbon (CSi) The Ransom County Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal hit and run accident at about 9-a.m. Friday, on Highway 32, a mile north of Lisbon.
Authorities say the body of a woman was found on the highway by a passing motorist.
The woman pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that left the scene overnight.
