…THE BLIZZARD WARNING THAT WAS IN EFFECT FOR WESTERN AND
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO EXPIRE…
.WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE IMPROVING ACROSS WESTERN AND CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA WITH WINDS DECREASING AND VISIBILITY INCREASING. AS
A RESULT, THE BLIZZARD WARNING WAS ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 4 PM CST.
DRIFTING SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING
HOURS AND ROADS WILL REMAIN SLIPPERY.
Note that although weather conditions were improving, impacts from
the Christmas Day 2016 storm linger. Some roads remain blocked by
snow drifts and were closed. Travel was dangerous and in some
areas still impossible. Many were without power, especially in the
James River Valley area due to the ice storm there that brought
down power lines.
Be safe.
