Jamestown (CSi) 33 year old Troy Alan Elhard of Jamestown was charged Thursday in Southeast District Court in Jamestown with aggravated assault domestic violence, along with preventing arrest, or discharge of other duties, all Class C Felonies.
Elhard was allegedly involved in an eight hour standoff with local law enforcement officers that began Monday evening into early Tuesday morning in Jamestown.
He appeared before Judge John Greenwood, and is being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center, on a $10,000 cash bond.
No preliminary hearing date has been set.

Jamestown (CSi) No one was hurt during a seven hour standoff that started Monday evening, and it ended with a 34 year old Jamestown man in custody at the Stutsman County Correctional facility.
Police Chief Scott Edinger says the call Monday evening was to Northland Estates where Troy Elhard had barricaded himself in a mobile home, with weapons. The call coming from a female in the home.
The James Valley Special Operations team was brought in to assist.
Elhard was reportedly not afraid to die in the standoff.
Attempts to contact or negotiate with him were unsuccessful, and the standoff ended at 4-a.m., Tuesday after teargas was fired into the mobile home.
Authorities used an armored vehicle to breakdown the door.
He come out of a few minutes later and surrendered without any weapons exchange.
He was charged with terrorizing and domestic assault stemming from the incident.
The Red Cross provided shelter to neighbors who were evacuated during the time of the standoff, and the area was sealed off.
