JPDbadgeJamestown  (CSi)  Anyone present at a party early Sunday morning in Jamestown is asked to contact Jamestown Police, after a rifle was believed to have been accidentally discharged.

Lt. Justin Blinsky reports that the investigation involves possible negligence or recklessness, and that it’s not believed at this point in the investigation that the rifle was fired intentionally or at an individual, as bullet struck the ceiling.

The incident took place at a Southeast Jamestown business, about 2:15 a.m.

Under Marsy’s Law, the business’ name and location is not being released, in connection with the vicitm’s affiliation with the location.

Anyone who was present at the location when the incident occurred should contact the police department by calling 252-2414.
