VC to fill unexpired City Commission seat

Valley City  (CSi)  Valley City will fill the unexpired term of Richard Ross, who recently resigned his seat.

Ross’ resignation was officially accepted by the Valley City Commission at the January 17, 2017 Regular Meeting.

At that meeting City Attorney, Russell Myhre said within 15 days of Ross’ resignation, petitions to the city commission to hold a Special Election must be received.

An alternative is the City Commission appoint a commissioner, or call for a Special Election on its own.
