Deb Ranee (Steele) Gilbertson, 56 died unexpectedly Thursday, March 23rd. She was born to Ben and Merilynn (Grace) Steele on September 27, 1960 in Placerville, CA and relocated to Edgeley, ND in 1976. She was active in and a Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Girls. Deb graduated from Edgeley High School in 1978. Deb attended Beauty School in Jamestown, owned and operated the Wonder Bar with her husband Tim for the last 17 years. She was a wonderful grandmother, mother and wife who loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family especially during the holidays or outside surrounded by her wonderful garden. Deb had an all-embracing generosity, from providing for her son’s and their families to supporting fundraisers for notable causes to inviting those with no place to be for the holiday celebrations. In keeping with Deb’s loving and generous spirit she decided to donate life so others may live. She was passionate about taking motorcycle trips and various destination trips with her husband. In her spare-time she loved to create quilts and afghans for family and friends, her true passion.

Deb is survived by her husband Tim Gilbertson, her children Brian Ryberg, Jason (Kelsey) Smith, Chris (Liz) Smith, her brother Ben (Theresa) Steele, her sister Star (Dave) Koushkouski, parents-in-law Harold (Marge) Gilbertson, her four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her good friend Mary Oster and Deb’s furry little dog of 17 years Missy-Pooh. She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Merilynn Steele.

Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Thursday, March 30 at Eddy Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jamestown. The funeral will be 10:30 AM, Friday, March 31 at the church. Arrangements by Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Deb will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
