Pastor Daniel W. Jeske, 71, of Jamestown, ND, died Sunday afternoon, April 23, 2017 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Daniel was born on January 20, 1946, in Jamestown, the son of Mars and Evelyn (Telken) Jeske. He grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1964. Daniel entered the US Navy on July 9, 1964 and served active duty in Vietnam. He was transferred to Naval Reserve in 1968 and then honorably discharged on July 22, 1977. Daniel was a pastor in Virginia for a time and father to six children. Daniel returned to Jamestown where he worked for Stutsman County Social Services and was manager for Child Support. He helped establish the Central Baptist Church in Jamestown where he and his wife, Connie Sandness, were active members; they were married in December 2006.

Daniel was a member of the DAV, Am Vets, and VFW. He enjoyed hunting, bird watching, and collecting coins. Daniel especially enjoyed gardening and donating his produce to the local food bank.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Connie Jeske; six children, Amy McLaughlin, Dustin Jeske, Paul Jeske, Emily Jeske, Iva Jeske, and Benjamin Jeske; fifteen grandchildren, David Weinstein, Brandon Jeske, Dustin Jeske, Jr., Andrew Jeske, Tyler Jeske, Roger Brown III, Jasmyne Jeske, Aubrey Larson, Dejah Jeske, Bryanna Jeske, Gretchen Boura, Miriam Boura, Olivia Boura, Aaron Boura, Jr., and Christian Jeske; three great grandchildren, Arianely, Colton, and Dakota; and a half-brother, Jesse.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Sam.

 Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Graveside Service: 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
