Bismarck (CSi) On Sunday morning, May 21, 2017, a North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding in a 60 mph zone on I-94 at mile marker 153 in Morton County. The Chevrolet Avalanche had two occupants, a male driver and male passenger. The trooper observed indications of criminal activity.
A search of the vehicle revealed 59 pounds of marijuana, much of it individually bagged, along with several plants and $1,399 in cash.
The men were taken into custody with various charges. The vehicle was impounded.
