RealTruck.com experienced a record-breaking 2012, ending the year with $17.5 million in sales.

The pickup truck accessory e-retailer attributes this success to focusing on enhancing its company culture through the practice of their guiding principles. This effort has been resulted in a better overall customer experience and has radically changed how quickly and effectively ideas are executed.

In additional to enhancing the culture, other noteworthy improvements include an updated checkout process, an enhanced Oracle (formerly Endeca) search, teaming up with Media Forge for re-targeting advertisements and implementing a shopping cart abandonment solution with Smarter Remarketer.

RealTruck’s revenue grew 32.57% over 2011, while transactions increased 30.21% in that same timeframe. The company also saw a significant sales increase from users on mobile devices; the conversion rate for visitors using a smart phone or tablet during November and December was 96% above average compared to the rest of 2012, with the conversion rate on Cyber Monday peaking at 205% above average.

“Ideas are a dime a dozen. Executing them is the hard part. We have continued to focus on improving our company culture. As a result, everyone in the company is empowered and engaged into learning and improving everything we do, every day.” said Scott Bintz, CEO.  “Everything from our customer experience to our back end operations is affected. It’s truly amazing watching our culture develop and push what we do to higher and higher levels. This is especially rewarding considering our North Dakota built team is competing on a national level against better financed competitors who have easier access to greater resources. We have had 16 record-breaking months in a row with limited resources and our growth has been totally financed by our profits.  We have high hopes for making it into the next Internet Retails Top 500 Guide, which ranks the largest US ecommerce companies.”

RealTruck.com entered 2013 riding a 16-month wave of record breaking sales and is currently ranked 245th in the Internet Retailer Mobile 400 Guide.
